MP Caleb and Munyaka heated exchange over Finance bill

Machakos Town MP Caleb Mule and his predecessor Victor Munyaka had a heated exchange over the support of the Finance bill.

Speaking during the burial of Mary Kalondu in Mutituni, Munyaka advised Caleb not to be rushing to support controversial bills like the Finance bill and that he could instead seek his counsel first or that of the voters.

“When things get tough you can see me. If there are difficult bills in parliament you can always seek my advice or that of your constituents before rushing to vote Yes.” Munyaka said.

In response, Caleb said Munyaka used to vote to support all Finance bills and he was not privy to what caused their fall out with Ruto.

“You have repeated this for many days. When you were in Parliament, there was no single day you voted no for any finance bill. He was in government, ” Caleb said in response.

“I don’t know where you disagreed and fell out with the President but my advice to you, guard the friendship. I used to see you with the President campaigning in Kaloleni, Mutituni, and everywhere. We don’t know what happened.” Caleb added.

In October, Munyaka declined an appointment from President Ruto as  Chairperson of Kenya Animal Genetic Resource Center and has criticized the Ruto administration severally.
