Kennedy Wambua Muvea is popularly known as Kenny bizzoh and hails from Kibwezi, Makueni County. Kennedy was brought up in a humble background, selling of traditional brews locally known as ‘kaluvu’ was the main source of income to their family. Despite this challenges Kenny Bizzoh managed to study diploma in Journalism and Mass communication at East Africa School Of Media. He has been a gospel musician and a songwriter since 2015. Kennedy says he looks up to musicians in the kamba region and Kenya at large such as Mr. vee, daddy owen and Emmy Kosgei.
Kenny Bizzoh sang with his grand father’s band in his childhood and this formed the basis of his new style that blends the Kamba culture – the Kambacha style.The first debut song in this style was Ngai Wakwa featuring Stephen Kasolo and did very well with close to 100,000 views in you tube. His great vocals, passion, devotion and energy has seen him scale to greater heights in East African region music industry with him performing in various concerts.
The Kambacha music style which is rich in African culture, presented in an urban way has seen him grow and help develop the African culture in his native ancestral home and East African region in a modern way.
His main aim being to help people understand and appreciate their rich and much admired.” Since Many Countries Keep their culture in practice via Music and most of us find ourselves engaged in listening their music even if we do not understand their language,I thought of Bringing this in an urban way and taking it to another level -Kambacha Style”. Kenny bizzoh adds.
The style has attracted new artists such as Moses Mutie, Ambulance among other artists from Ukambani. He has also worked with other well known Artist like Redemption. Currently, Kenny Bizoh is in Uganda for a concert to spread the gospel through the Kambacha music style. The style has attracted international gospel artists and Kenny has promised his fans international collabos in the coming months.
