Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) chairman John Mbadi has said that Azimio supporters cannot follow Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
In a clip that has gone viral Mbadi is heard saying that he is persuaded that Kalonzo is not taking them anywhere politically.
Mbadi also noted that the former president Uhuru Kenyatta doesn’t mean well for them in Azimio.
He added that if Uhuru meant well for them he would have ensured the Azimio coalition ascended to power in the last general elections adding that if that had happened he would be a Cabinet Secretary today.
“We cannot follow Kalonzo because he is not taking us anywhere, I’m not persuaded that he can lead us anywhere. I also don’t think Uhuru means well for us because if he did he would have given us leadership in 2022 and today I would have been a cabinet secretary and not a nominated member of parliament,” said Mbadi.
He added that ODM is championing dialogue with the president in order to forge the way forward for the country instead of clutching at impossibilities like asking Ruto to descend from his position.
“You cannot tell us Ruto will come down, if he comes down then his deputy Gachagua will take over and he is not the better option instead he is worse than Ruto, “Mbadi cautioned.
