Matungulu MP blasts Murkomen after recent remarks

Matungulu MP Stephen Mule has criticized Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen for allegedly threatening youths.

Speaking in Nguluni, Mule emphasized that Murkomen should focus on protecting young people protesting against bad leadership, rather than intimidating them.

“It is wrong for him to make such remarks, especially when some youths have faced abductions. I saw Murkomen on TV threatening our youths, and I want to tell him that he cannot begin the year by curtailing the freedom of speech we fought hard to achieve,” said Mule.

The MP further challenged Murkomen to advise his boss to fulfill his promises to Kenyans.

“If he delivers on his promises, there will be no need for anyone to draw cartoons or caricatures of him. All this criticism is because the government has failed the people,” Mule added.

At the same time, Mule urged youths to exercise their freedom of speech responsibly, particularly on social media. He stressed that constructive criticism is essential for a country’s development, as it allows leaders to identify and address their shortcomings.
