A family in Matungulu Subcounty is seeking medical help after their 5-year-old child was diagnosed with Leukemia.
Speaking to Mauvoo News, the mother (Mama Olive) narrated how she incurred costs after her child was diagnosed with blood cancer popularly known as leukemia, and how she has been in and out of the hospital.
The devastated mother revealed that when she gave birth to her child she was full of health but all broke loose in 2021 when her baby started having complications forcing her to move from one hospital to another.
“I gave birth to a healthy baby girl but in 2021 she started having complications so we took her to Kangundo Level 4 where she was treated and we went back home but she was not getting better we went to another hospital just to see if she could get better but her health was deteriorating, ” she said.
“From there we went to Machakos Level 5 and she was diagnosed with heart problems and she started medication but she was not recovering and after many tests, she was found with leukemia or blood cancer, “she added.
The mother of the girl who is currently unemployed appealed to well-wishers to help her cater for the medical bills of her child noting that as the days go by her drugs get expensive and now she has no one to assist them.
“We had been admitted for a whole year in Kenyatta National Hospital for medication and after being released we go every month for medication,” said the mother.
“My plea is from well-wishers to assist us to cater for the bills because it’s getting really expensive and we have no one to help us. Please help us to cater for the medical bills of our daughter,” she added.
