In a tragic turn of events, a 38-year-old woman has been arrested after allegedly killing her 76-year-old husband following a quarrel over Sh. 3000.
According to the Mbumbuni Officer Commanding Station (OCS), the couple had been arguing over accusations that the woman, Syombua Musau had stolen the money from her husband.
In a fit of rage, the woman reportedly picked up a stone and struck her husband on the back, killing him instantly.
The incident shocked the local community where Albanus Mutula, the area assistant chief, addressed the situation, urging residents to resolve conflicts peacefully and avoid resulting to violence.
As of the time of reporting, the deceased’s body remained at the scene, pending further police action. The suspect is currently in custody, awaiting her arraignment in court.
In the same sub-county body of a 37-year-old man was found by the roadside along Tawa-Kithungo road.
Benard Nthuka, Ngaa assistant chief confirmed the incident stating the body of the man had been picked and moved to Tawa mortuary.
He noted that the man hails from Uthunga and his cause of death has not been established yet
