Makueni leaders up in arms after Mutua called locals political fools

Labour and Social Protection CS’s remarks last week that Makueni residents are political fools have continued to stir up reactions from locals and their leaders.

Makueni Senator Daniel Maanzo criticized Mutua and the Kenya Kwanza Administration for not creating jobs, which has forced Kenyans to start seeking opportunities abroad.

Maanzo added that there are no fools in Makueni.

“I’m sorry Alfred Mutua, Kambas are not fools. The pot that was cooking for fools has cracked. There was only one fool left in Makueni but they are now wise. Are you with us?”Maanzo said, mimicking Mutuse’s remarks during Gachagua impeachment grilling.

Makueni County Assembly Majority leader Kisungi Katete speaking to TVL News called out the Kenya Kwanza administration for denying funding to key projects in Ukambani that could have created jobs. He called on President Ruto to sack Mutua and replace him with someone who can respect locals.

“I’m here to disagree with what CS Mutua said, insulting the people of Makueni. It was not right for him to come and insult us just because we support Wiper. Is supporting Wiper foolishness?”The Majority leader posed.

“Kalonzo Musyoka is now very near to the presidency and a Cabinet Secretary called Mutua came to call us fools. As a government, they can’t get projects that can employ our people? Konza, Thwake, and Ukia-Emali Road have no financing and have stalled. Then he comes to insult us, he comes from Nduundune if he calls us fools he is just one of them. Ruto should sack him and replace him with someone who can respect Kambas.” Kisungi added
