Makueni family seeks Government help to bring body of daughter who died in Saudi Arabia

A family from Kambilo, Mtito Andei in Makueni county has pleaded with the Government to help bring back the body of their daughter from Saudi Arabia.

According to reports Gloria Ndunge traveled to Saudi in July 2022.

She left behind a two-year-old son in pursuit of a better future for her family.

However, Ndunge died on 1st January 2023 and the family cannot fathom what killed their child.

All they know is that their daughter was receiving treatment at a certain hospital in the country where she died.

Cases of Kenyan girls getting mistreated and dying in Saudi Arabia have been on the rise and the Government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been promising to solve the challenges facing Kenyans in the country.

Foreign Affairs Dr. Alfred Mutua flew to Saudi Arabia in November last year to find amicable solutions to the problem. A helpline has since been established for Kenyans in distress.

In December, a lady from Kangundo Mercy Sakim who was burned with acid was laid to rest after ex-Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko assisted the family return her body. Missed the story? check it out below;
