Makueni and Machakos MCAs ranked top in Infotrak’s new performance rating. Makueni and Embu MCAs were the best Nationaly with 54.2 percent.
On the second position was Baringo at 51.5 percent followed by Vihiga at 51.1 percent and Nyeri at 50.5 percent. Turkana, Elgeyo Marakwet and Kwale followed at 50.4 percent and Machakos, Bungoma closing in at 50.3 percent.
Kitui county Assembly was ranked at position 36 out of 47 with a ranking of 44.5 percent.
The worst performing MCAs according to Infotrak are those from TransNzoia at 39.3 percent, Homabay at 40.1 percent, Mandera 40.3 percent, Isiolo 41.8 percent and Laikipia 42.8 percent.
A member of the County Assembly (MCA) is an elected representative who is in charge of an electoral unit known as a Ward.
The MCA represents the residents at the Ward Level in the County Assembly. Several Wards make up a Sub-County. A lot of Kenyans interact with their MCAs the most compared to other elected leaders.
