Education CS Prof. George Magoha early Tuesday supervised how KCPE Examination was being conducted in Machakos county. The no-nonsense CS arrived before time at the container station for Machakos sub-county and later visited several schools including Machakos Baptist primary where he promised infrastructure funding.
The CS promised to pump money to renovate the school insisting that he will supervise the exercise to make sure that no corruption will take place.
“I will pump money to renovate this school and no one will eat it.”-Education CS Prof. Magoha said.
Addressing the media at Teachers service commission grounds where the container is, Magoha insisted that for any examinations to be issued to any center manager, there must be a company of two police officers for the purpose of security.
He added saying that the government had budgeted for everything required to make the examination period run smoothly, asking everyone to take the exercise seriously.
“The two police officers will help in this way; once the examination are on, one police officer will be supervising as the other one will be taking care of the other examination.” CS Magoha said.
Magoha emphasized the importance of handwashing during this time when the country is facing the Covid-19 third wave and led by example showing candidates how to wash hands. He mentioned that the use of soap and water will be of more importance than sanitizers since one will wash hands thoroughly.
Magoha interacted with class eight candidates before they sat for day two examinations at Machakos Baptist Primary School, whereby he motivated the pupil’s not to panic during this examinations period
Magoha supervised the distribution of the first examination paper for day two at Machakos Baptist Primary School and later left for Machakos school for the deaf.
