Machakos Speaker booed during Ruto’s Machakos Thanksgiving service

Machakos Speaker Ann Kiusya was booed during an interdenominational prayer service at Kenyatta Stadium.

The speaker introduced herself as the only elected lady speaker in the country and the vice chair of the County Assembly forum.

She revealed that she went to school with Rachel Ruto at Butere Girls and thanked the president for supporting the school.

Ann then introduced the tens of MCAs who had attended from Machakos, Kitui, and Makueni.

Hell broke loose when she started outlining MCAs grievances like salary increase.

“We have a few grievances that we would like you to address with all humility, I want to mention just a few, salary review for MCAs, I would like to request an increase in our salaries.” She said as the locals began booing.

“Your Excellency We request for reinstatement of plenary allowances, mileage, and office imprest and ask the government to look at double taxation of car reimbursement and financial autonomy of the assembly.” The heckling intensified and Mwala MP Eng. Vincent Musyoka had to interject and ask the audience to allow her to finish.
