Machakos Senatorial Aspirant Steps Down, Endorses Agnes Kavindu

Machakos Senatorial Candidate Otto Edward Musembi has stepped down from vying for the senatorial seat in the coming General elections.

Addressing the press in Machakos, Otto Edward who was vying for the senatorial seat on a Ford Asili Party Ticket said that he had reached a decision to step down to support Wiper senatorial aspirant and Machakos senator Agnes Kavindu Muthama.

He further said that after doing his own research he had come to a conclusion that Wiper party was more popular in Ukambani and candidates vying with the party had a great potential of winning elective positions.

“I want to state my reason as to why I have not continued with my quest to vie for senatorial position in Machakos. I have gone around and established that wiper party is well known in Ukambani and candidates that are vying with the party are likely to win,” Otto said.

“I want to support Wiper and that is why today I have stepped down and decided to support senator Agnes Kavindu Muthama for her re-election because we were with her in the by-election and she won,” he added.

Machakos Senatorial Aspirants that have been cleared by the IEBC so far include Agnes Kavindu of Wiper, Urbanus Ngengele ODM, John Mutua Katuku of PTP, Maureen Ndungwa of Jubilee, Bernard Mung’ata MCCP and Charles KilonzoIndependent.
