Machakos County Police Commander Karanja Muiruri has warned residents of Machakos County against defying Government curfew to stay indoors which begins from 7 pm to 5 am.

The County police boss noted that nobody will be allowed to loiter around during these hours as everyone is expected to be in their house by then.

Muiruri while addressing the press revealed that some people in Machakos, especially bodaboda riders and Matatu owners are defying the orders.

He also divulged that some matatus are carrying excess passengers without following the government directives of keeping social distance by ensuring they carry few passengers.

He encouraged residents of Machakos to obey what the government has directed, saying the curfew is in the whole country and they should not wait to see how the police work after being given orders to keep people at home.

Usikae uone jinsi polisi wanafanya kazi.

Twende kazi,” The County police commander threatened.
