Machakos Mkokoteni pusher pleads for 60,000 to get a metal implant for his fractured leg

A middle-aged man from Matuu Yatta, Machakos County, is calling upon well-wishers and Ukambani leaders to help him raise 60,000 to get a metal rod fixed on his fractured leg.

Derrick Munyao said he has been admitted at the Machakos Level 5 Hospital for a while now but he is still in deep pains on his leg that fractured.

“My name is Derrick Munyao and I have been in this hospital (Machakos Level 5 Hospital) for some time now. The pain in my leg is too much I can’t even sleep. I am calling upon the leaders and well-wishers to help me raise funds to purchase the metal rod and screws that are required for fixing on my fractured leg,” Munyao said.

The patient, who was a cart pusher before fracturing his leg, stated that they have been unable to raise the funds with his brother, Samuel Nzioki who is also a cart pusher in Machakos town.

“We have tried our best with my brother who is also a mkokoteni pusher to raise the funds for the metal rod and screws in vain. We don’t have much income and we have only managed to settle hospital bills and other bills but we can’t afford to purchase that rod despite me being in pains,” Munyao added.

According to the patient’s brother, Samuel Nzioki, Derick has been in pain for a while now and it pains him so much to see his brother is hopeless and wallowing in pain, stating that he would appreciate it if he gets help.
