A middle-aged man from Ithanga village in Masii, Mwala Subcounty of Machakos County is receiving treatment at Machakos Level 5 after he cut his private parts.
Confirming the incident, Mwala Subcounty Community Policing Chairperson Angeline Kilonzo said that the middle-aged man cut his private parts last night.
She revealed that she got a call from a medic at Masii level 3 hospital about a man who had come at around midnight bleeding excessively. After inquiries, the medics found that the man had cut himself wrapped the parts with a paper bag, and put them in his pockets.
They attended to him very fast before he lost blood and referred him to Machakos Level 5 where he is currently receiving treatment.
“At around midnight I got a call from the Medical officer Masii level 3, informing me of a middle-aged man who had cut his private parts and the doctor in charge called me to look for the kinsmen of the man. I called the boy’s parents and the doctors gave him first aid. What was astonishing is that the man had wrapped the parts with a plastic bag and put them in his jacket,” said Community Policing Chair.
“The doctor called an ambulance and the man was rushed to Machakos Level 5 to receive treatment. My plea is that when things go amiss let’s share so that we can find solutions rather than taking extreme measures,” she added.
