A section of Machakos County MCAs from the Wiper party Tuesday (15th September) told off former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama over what they termed as disrespecting Kalonzo Musyoka.
The MCAs who addressed the press from Machakos County assembly we’re led by Majority leader Mark Muendo. They asked the former senator to concentrate on his politics and leave Kalonzo out of it.
They further dismissed claims that Muthama used to fund the Wiper party saying if he is wealthy he should go ahead and form his own party.
“Muthama’s utterances have annoyed Kenyans and leaders. The perception that he has been funding Wiper is an outright lie. He wakes up every day to talk about Kalonzo.” The Machakos MCAs said.
“As Machakos MCAs we want to tell him he will never be at the same level as Kalonzo. Let him respect Kalonzo he has been the Vice President of this country… What has Muthama been?”
The MCAs from Machakos further reiterated that Kalonzo was going to run for president come 2022 and he was not going to play second fiddle to anyone.
Last month, Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka had asked Kalonzo Musyoka to join forces with Deputy President William Ruto come 2022 so that he could deputize him in the election before someone else takes the position.
Muthama during a radio interview last month promised to send Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to political oblivion come 2022. The former senator while attending the funeral of Henry Masaku Ngei at Mbilini, said that he made Kalonzo vice president and he should be grateful.
Kalonzo told Muthama that he was going to negotiate for himself and would not allow anyone to do it on his behalf in 2022.
