Mavoko MP Patrick Makau has expressed confidence that Machakos governor position seat will be a walkover for him.
Speaking at Mlolongo while issuing bursaries, Makau said that the County Government of Machakos was joking with the funds they had been allocated saying that with the CDF kitty he had done more than the county government.
“And we are going to tell them when that day comes by God’s will and your prayers, that governor’s seat will be a walkover for me, we cannot be relaxing when the principal of Mlolongo is saying that we have built more than enough classes with a 100M per year,” he said.
“The County Government is being given 12 billion per year and we cannot see even an ECD class and yet you want to tell us that you want to have top leadership, stop playing please, pray for me because everything is possible in leadership,”Makau went on.
The Machakos Gubernatorial Seat is believed to be a hot contest with Speaker Florence Mwangangi, Transport CAS Wavinya Ndeti, UDA Chair Johnson Muthama, Deputy Governor Francis Maliti among those that have declared interest.
On matters Education, the legislator faulted the Education CS for issuing a directive for parents to clear third term fees saying the minister should have considered that since Corona was reported, most people lost their jobs and livelihoods.
“Magoha doesn’t understand the problems at the grassroots. Most businesses were affected and people went home. What do you want the parents to pay the fees with? ” The MP said.
