List of Eastern Talanta Awards Nominees 2022

Eastern Talanta Awards held an invite-only nomination gala a week ago. The who is who in the entertainment and arts industry was represented at the red-carpet event. Below is a list of those who were nominated in the different categories. 

In the dance crew category,  A+ Dance Crew from Kajiado, Blazers Dance Crew from Embu County, Machakos Dance Experience-MDE from Machakos, Miale Dancers from Makueni, Percentage Unit from Machakos, Soljaz Dance crew from Samburu, 

Squashers Dance Crew from Kajiado, Xbeezy Dance crew Embu, Sky scrappers from Meru, K-Town Dance Crew from Kitui and Kitole Dancers from Kitui County. 

Deejay of the year – Dj Dannie Boy from Narok, Dj Flavour from Meru, Dj Glen from Meru, Dj Itex from Isiolo, Dj Kickie of Machakos and Dj Kitts of Kajiado.  Dj Phylloh of Kitui, Dj Warrior from Samburu, Dj Kingstone from Kajiado, Dj Papinoo from Laikipia, Dj Maya of Narok, Dj Smallz from Machakos and Dj 5Star from Machakos are also in the category.

Fashion designer of the year category has eight contestants; Sir Jay The Brand from Laikipia, Kitengela Suits from Kajiado, Anne’s Crochet from Kitui, Mwende Collections from Machakos and Dicky the Baddest from Kajiado. Vans King from Meru, ASK Designers from Kajiado and Charlie Frank from Machakos.

Female model of the year has 13 contestants from different counties. Maryann Kilanga from Kitui, Lavinah Lempirias from Samburu, Peninnah Naserian from Kajiado, Wambui Gikonyo from Laikipia, Mirriam Mumbe John from Embu and Vanessa Mercy from Isiolo. Ida Ngile who is Mumo TV reporter in Kitui is also in the list alongside Tilda Shee from Makueni, Monicah Mumbua from Machakos, Isabella from Kajiado, Juliana Wamae from Laikipia, Melody Jernutai from Meru and  Hilda Malanoi from Narok.

In Producer of the Year category there is Producer Kasah from Kajiado, Ayo Medi from Meru, Producer Fengu from Machakos, Mopo Tunes from Kajiado, Ondiko Beats from Machakos and Producer Mavelous from Embu. Producer Naftali from Makueni, J Star Music from Narok, Producer Tobby Bisengo from Machakos, Producer Basil from Machakos and Kabbz Music from Laikipia are also featured in the list.

Song of the year nomination has Hajawai niacha by Justus Myello from Machakos, Ino ni nguthunu by Kilole from Machakos, Fly girl by Jaysoul from Meru, Success by Stephen Kasolo from Kitui, and Maibooroyu by Susan Moiraina from Kajiado. Nimulilikane by Stella Mengele who hails from Kitui, Kungulu Kwangala by Mutulani from Makueni, Nthi ino nditei by Maima from Machakos, Nauma Vaasa by Biez Kaviru from Makueni and Empiris Enkai by Resian Leperes from Narok are also in the list of song of the year category.

Group of the Year has Rolling tunes from Machakos, Maa Twins from Kajiado, Moses and Jeff from Kajiado, Mavoko Talents from Machakos, T Broz Africa from Machakos and Watanashati Classic from Meru.

Male artist of the year has Pilaz Pilonje from Samburu, Koffi Mashette from Meru, Ben Mbatha- Kativui from Machakos, Stephen Kasolo from Kitui, Timothy Opoti from Kajiado, Biez Kaviru from Makueni, Philip Olaisula from Narok, Alex Kasau (Katombi) from Kitui, Nasizu Murume from Meru, Tobby Bisengo from Machakos and Daniel Ole Makau from Kajiado.

Male Model of the year has Chivell from Laikipia, David Mukiti from Makueni, Larpei Sananka from Samburu, Alex Kitheka Mwanzia from Kitui, Loishorua Moinkett from Kajiado, Bruce Matheka from Machakos, Benson Ndubi from Meru, Maxkeen from Laikipia, Aaron Felix from Embu and Max Donavan Mwaniki from Laikipia County.

MC of the year category features MC Sim Card from Kajiado, MC Toto from Makueni, MC Tash from Meru, MC Masaa from Machakos and MC Kayeye from Kitui. Other MCs in the list include MC Dante of Laikipia, MC Mozante of Kajiado, Mc Omondi of Makueni, Erick Muntet of Narok, Peter Mutinda Kasuva of Kitui, Mc B.O.G from Embu and Kenny Bizzoh from Makueni.

Most Promising Artist category has Betty Sankale of Kajiado, L Kay Daddi of Kajiado, Florence Karani from Meru, Stephen Mutinda from Machakos, Kiddo Mukamba from Machakos, Mama Africa from Machakos, Elly One from Kitui and Danny P from Machakos. Others featured in the category are Jaysoul from Meru, Lempiris  JM from Laikipia, Marion Malonto from Narok, Favor Mbeke from Machakos and Ann Kathili from Kitui county.

Hypeman of the year nominees include Eddue B from Meru, Hype Dante from Kajiado, Hypeman Ndamah from Machakos, Hype Joe from Machakos, Hypeman Teddy from Kitui, B.O.G from Kitui, Freddy Ranks from Meru, Simcard from Kajiado and Hype Prince from Machakos.

Talent to watch category has Staleen Stanley from Machakos, Shawn Makau from Kajiado, Abigael Nemaiyan from Kajiado and Lanease Wanjiku from Machakos. 

TikTok personality category has Mama Staleen from Makueni, Moya David from Kajiado, Lydia Lanoi from Narok,  Tinah Clara from Machakos, Nzomo Mwene from Kitui and Jessica Kavuu from Makueni. Samburu Queen from Samburu, Bena wa Malines from Machakos, Kamba Queen, Archbishop wa Ukamba from Machakos, Litboy Kenya from Kajiado and Irene Kalendi from Makueni are also nominees.

Comedian of the year nominees include Nzomo Mweene Comedian from Machakos, Kasee of Machakos, Abdul Khaleed of Samburu, Bena wa Malines from Machakos, Jasper Murume from Meru and MC Bull from Meru. Dppkenya 1 Kikuyu star from Laikipia, Kayeye Comedian from Machakos, Kilaiku TV from Kitui, Jimmy Baite from Meru, Ole Koipah- Letabo from Kajiado, Lydia Lanoi from Narok and Archbishop wa Ukamba from Machakos are also included in the list.

Photographer of the year nominee list features Shaddy Mtumishi from Kitui, Lens Queen from Machakos, Nyagah photography from Kajiado, Macklin Mugambi from Meru, Magdalene Muendo- magiclare from Makueni and Ken Pictures from Embu. Also in the list is Molio Photography from Kajiado, Alifannygraphy from Machakos, Mtu Picha from Narok, Mencho from Samburu, Director Don from Kajiado and the Zoom photography from Samburu.

Video Director of the year category has Leny studios from Narok, Danny Prince from Meru, G Series from Kajiado, Director Tats from Makueni, DMS Africana Films International, Bless Media from Kajiado, Martin Muindi from Machakos, Joe W, and Kabbz Music from Laikipia county.

Kikwetu Artist of the year nominees are Lemarti from Samburu, Ben Mbatha (Kativui) from Machakos, Rolling Tunes from Machakos, Lady Wonder Kenya, and Karimi Bruno from Meru.

Kikwetu song of the year category has Emirishoi by Ole Kaputah from Narok county, Ndi Meru ndi Miringene by Karimi Bruno from Meru, Ngulu by Lady Wonder Kenya, Laranyak by Tikosei Pananas from Laikipia, Sere by Pilaz Pilonje from Samburu and Ilele by Rolling tunes from Machakos county. 

Gospel artist of the year nominees are Sanino Bless from Kajiado, John Kay from Machakos, Ole Kaputah from Narok, Daniel Ole Makau from Kajiado, Justus Myello from Machakos, Pastor Anthony Musembi, Zipporah Erick from Makueni, Promise Romano, Florence Kashina Village from Meru, Mercy Selein from Kajiado and Jackson Mutinda from Machakos.

Female artist of the year features the controversial 2020 hit maker Justina Syokau from Machakos, Charity Nashipae from Kajiado, Faith Nzilani from Makueni, Resian Leperes from Narok, Lydia Nashami from Samburu, Zipporah Eric from Makueni, Florence Kashina Village from Meru, and Stellar Mengele from Kitui.

Personality of the year category has Mary Mutula from Machakos, Anthony Sayianka from Kajiado, Patricia Kombo from Makueni, Ole Kaputah from Narok, Captain Green from Machakos, and Mirriam Gideon from Makueni. 

Radio presenter of the year features Kayfar Watanashati of Tuliza FM, Master Mully Of Musyi FM, Irene Nyamai of Ene FM, Manyanga Kelitu ka Makueni of Mutongoi FM, Victor Juma of Bus Radio, Peter Mutinda of Radio Thome, MC Tash of Weru FM, Dj Juju of Mwendani FM, Samson Simpiri of Sidai FM, MC Sonko of Mwatu FM, Mercy Mawia of Athiani FM and Man Roba of Mutongoi FM. 

Radio show of the year category has Jibambe Drive of Tuliza FM, Amuka na Ene of Enen FM, Tuathimwe of Mutongoi FM, Kiingane of Musyi FM, Mikatiko Mix of County FM, Gatukubia of Meru FM, Chanchamuka of Weru FM, Mitivuko of Ene FM, Syukile Reggae of Athiani FM, Amuka na Mbaitu of Mbaitu FM, Kiwiyoo kya Thome of Radio Thome, and Watindata drive show of Mbaitu FM.
