Kitui South MP Kaki tells off Ngilu over Title deeds issuance

Kitui South MP Rachel Kaki Nyamai has told off Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu to stop dragging him into wrangles over the issuance of title deeds.

This comes after Governor Ngilu found land offices closed when she came to issue title deeds in Kitui South last week and accused Kaki of collaborating with Land Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney to close the offices and block her from issuing the title deeds to the residents.

The Jubilee Party MP called on Governor Ngilu to join hands in campaigning for Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga instead of engaging in what she termed petty fights.

Addressing the residents of Kitui South during the issuing of the long-awaited title deeds, Kaki stated that she was not ready to fight over who should deliver Government services to the people.

“All the residents will be given title deeds at zero cost because the government has paid everything, and as your MP, I don’t want any fight with any Kitui Political Leader. I want to ask Governor Ngilu to unite us together and have been delegated different duties in Azimio so that we can get votes for Raila here in Kitui,” Kaki said.

Kaki stated that she is ready to sell Raila in Kitui after being appointed to be one of Raila’s campaign team in Lower Eastern and eluded confidence that Raila will form the next government and bring more development to the people of Kitui.

” I want to tell Raila that we will help him look for votes in Ukambani because he gave us work and Governor Kivutha Kibwana leads us. We are happy to have a woman deputy president in our camp,” she added.

The Kitui South MP Kicked off the exercise a day after the residents accused her of delaying in giving them title deeds where She gave over 600 title deeds. Kaki further revealed that she would be giving more than 9,000 title deeds in Kitui South.
