Makueni Governor Professor Kivutha Kibwana has emerged number 4 in ‘Top 100 politicians 2021’ ranking by Kenyans.co.ke . Kibwana is the most popular politician from Ukambani according to the ranking.

Kibwana expressed great joy after the ranking taking to social media to thank the people of Makueni. Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka was position 8, Governor Alfred Mutua position 11, Charity Ngilu position 32, Mutula Kilonzo Junior position 43, Wavinya Ndeti position 50, Johnson Muthama position 84, and Agnes Muthama position 100.

“This is a humbling message. I wish to thank Kenyans and particularly the people of Makueni for giving me an opportunity to serve, thus giving me a chance to be ranked at the top in the just-released poll for Kenya’s top 100 politicians by Kenyans.co.ke. “Kibwana said.

“Ranking at Number 4 nationally just below President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto and Raila Odinga who are all political enigmas is such a thrilling and humbling experience. I wouldn’t have ranked this better if you didn’t believe in me and trust the public work we are doing in Makueni. It is the same work ethic we intend to carry to the national stage,” he went on.

According to the polls, Kibwana was cited as a crusader for the Building Bridges Initiative and the withdrawal from the Chairman of the COG in January 2021 citing conflict of interest in his bid for presidency 2022.

In October 2020, the Governor was voted as the third-best performing governor in a study by Infortrak Research and Consulting for 2019-2020. Makueni county was also ranked as the most improved devolved county having jumped from position 40 in 2015 to third 2020.
