Kathiani Girls’ High School has recorded an outstanding performance in the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) sparking celebrations within the school community, reaffirming its status as one of the leading girls’ schools in the region.
With a total of 345 candidates who sat for the national examination. None attained a straight A, 12 students scored A-, sparking celebrations marked by song, dance, and cheers within the school compound. 84 students had B+, 124 B, and 64 B-.
39 candidates had C+, 12 scored C, and 8 C-. At the lower end, two students scored D+, with no candidates in the D, D- or E categories.

Compared to 2024 KCSE mean grade of 8.182 and 91.64% university transition the school posted an impressive mean grade of 8.675 (B) and a remarkable transition rate of 93.6%, with 323 students attaining C+ and above, making them eligible for university admission.
The School principal attributed the strong performance to disciplined students, committed teachers, and consistent support from parents and the Board of Management.
”Our secret has been teamwork between teachers, students, and parents. We emphasize discipline, time management, and constant evaluation to ensure no learner is left behind,” Munyao said.
