Hours after Makueni MCAs demanded the release of nominated MCA Albanus Wambua alias Kanzala Kana, the MCA resurfaced Monday evening.
Addressing the press after his release the MCA who seemed horrified narrated how he was arrested by DCI officers on Saturday and taken to a place where he was tortured.
Kana said that he underwent mental and physical torture while he was being held up by the DCI officers revealing that he was denied access to his phone and also to speak to his family.
He went ahead to reveal that he was questioned on the chaos that erupted during the burial of nominated MCA Magdalene Kalembe and also he was accused of being the one who planned protests in Emali, Makindu, and Kibwezi.
“First I thank God I am alive, on Saturday while doing my errands I saw a car coming towards me and it blocked my way. I was pushed by officers who introduced themselves as DCI officers from Embu and they told me that they had been looking for me since the burial of Magdalene Kalembe, they took me in the car and we went. They interrogated me on the protests in Emali, Makindu, and Kibwezi and told me that is their concern,” Kana narrated.
“We went to Mombasa came to Voi and went to Taveta and they took me to a place called Chala, today in the morning we came to Voi and I begged them to take me to court and we came to Makindu and they told me that they have gone to go for other suspects and I was taken to the hospital. All I want to say is that let’s beware and we are our own security because it’s bad outside and our officers in Kibwezi West have been compromised,” he added.
