Kangundo MP to table motion in parliament to deal with the fuel crisis

Kangundo MP Fabian Kyule Muli has promised to table a motion in parliament for the Government to ensure that there is stability in the Fuel sector so as to make sure that a crisis like the current one does not happen again.

Speaking while commissioning new classrooms in Kamwanyani Primary School which had been constructed by Kangundo NG-CDF, Fabian said that with the shortage of fuel, the cost of living would increase making it difficult for many Kenyans.

“The Ministry of Energy should work out a solution to this crisis. I will table a bill in Parliament to ensure that there is a stabilization of oil products and my hope is the other legislators will support the bill,” MP Fabian said.

The legislator asked the Cabinet Secretaries for Energy and Industrialization to make haste in addressing the fuel shortage menace being experienced across the country.

The legislator noted that fuel was the backbone of the economy as most vendors even in the local areas depended mostly on fuel, directly or indirectly.

“It’s high time the CS for Energy and Industrialization stepped in and ensured that they resolve the fuel shortage before it gets out of hand. Fuel shortage affects the entire economy because the cost of basic commodities will definitely go up making it hard for the common mwananchi,” He added.

Petrol stations a cross the country have been hit by a serious fuel shortage for 2 weeks now. Motorists have to line up for hours to get fuel in the few petrol stations that have it.
