Kangundo MP Fabian Kyule Muli has called on Cabinet secretary for Education George Magoha to reopen schools for children to get back to learning in September.
Speaking at Kangundo, Fabian said that the World Health Organization had given a go-ahead on all schools to be opened even amidst the pandemic where he asked CS George Magoha to let learners resume back to learning and put measures on how they will help in the curbing the spread of the virus.
“I want to ask Cabinet Secretary for education George Magoha to re-open schools by September so that our kids can go back to their studies as the WHO has given a directive all schools to be opened. We can put measures to curb the spread of the virus in the schools as our kids go back to learning, ” he said.
On the revenue sharing formula, the Kangundo MP said the problem with the formula was the demilitation of counties. He asked the senate to consult the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) so that the counties can be divided again equally.
“We have senior lawyers in the senate likes of Orengo, Amos Wako and even the speaker himself all they need to do is go back to the drawing table and understand that the problem with the sharing formula is how the counties are divided, there is the delimitation of the counties and they need to consult the IEBC for this matter to be solved, ” said the legislator.
The MP spoke at the Burial of Masaku Ngei, son to former Kangundo MP Paul Ngei. Other leaders who attended the funeral included Mwala MP Eng. Vincent Musau, Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka and Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.
Muthama who also attended the funeral told off Kalonzo that had it not been for him he would never have become the vice president.
