Police in Kangundo have launched an investigation over the mysterious death of a 60-year-old cobbler.
Confirming the incident, Kangundo Town Village elder Peter Komu said that the man alighted from Matatu at Kangundo Bus Park sat down at his place of work, and ordered a cup of porridge.
Komu said that the shoemaker went ahead to sip his porridge before he was declared dead minutes later.
“This man alighted from a matatu and sat there, he was given porridge by a certain lady who sells porridge as I passed I left him drinking his porridge only minutes later to be called and told that the mzee had lost his life,” said the village elder.
His body has been moved to Kangundo Level 4 morgue for preservation awaiting postmortem to determine the cause of death.
