Kalonzo Musyoka’s ally and Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna has revealed what they want from Raila Odinga so as to rejoin Azimio and support him.
The Wiper MP stated that what Kalonzo has been pushing from the Azimio-One Kenya alliance is what the Kamba Community will get when Kalonzo supports Raila. Nguna disclosed a list of things that they should get apart from the Chief Minister position that had been promised to Kalonzo.
Addressing the press in Kitui town, Nguna said, ” We as Wiper Party have been emphasizing on what the Kamba people benefit from the Azimio-One Kenya Alliance. We also requested to be given four ministries that will help us as Kamba people and Kenyans at large. We should also be given the position of Chief Minister that had been promised to our party Leader Kalonzo, Speaker of National Assembly position, and more than 1,500 Kilometers of road to be constructed in the three Ukambani counties.”
Nguna reaffirmed that if those demands are met by the ODM leader and Azimio flagbearer Raila Odinga, they will fully support him and campaign for him in Ukambani.
He further claimed that the Ukambani Region has lagged behind in development and thus it is the time for the region to be part of the next government.
“What we want is the Kamba people to be given whatever they are promised, we want tarmacked roads, and electricity in every homestead in Ukambani since we have been isolated and left behind as a community in terms of connectivity ratio, especially in the ‘Ndee Nation’ (Kitui South,Kitui East, and Mwingi North.) So these are some of the things that we want to have a structured dialogue in Azimio,” Nguna added.
The MP also called upon the Kamba Community to rally behind Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka adding that he has the interests of the community at heart.
