Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has taken a swipe at politicians who he says have begun early campaigns. This according to the former Vice president who was touring the Konza techno city might scare away investors from the country.
“In order to attract investors to Konza, it beholds us not just as a local community but as the whole nation to determine that there is a time to be serious, there is a time for politics,” Kalonzo said.
“Politics is a chief occupation in Kenya. If today, 2 years to the next general elections there are people clad in campaign gear as if elections are next week.”He added.
Kalonzo expressed satisfaction with the progress in Konza City and asked the Government to fastrack the water pipeline from the Thwake dam to Konza which is the second phase of the program.
“I want to assure people, the number of jobs that will be generated in the next 10 to 15 years out of Konza will be colossal. This is the future. “Kalonzo praised the project.
The Wiper leader had been accompanied by Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja, Makueni’s Mutula Kilonzo Junior, KMTC board chair Prof. Philip Kaloki, Makueni MP Daniel Maanzo among others.
