Kalonzo Musyoka and Kitui South MP heckled in Kitui

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Kitui South MP Rachel Kaki Nyamai were heckled during a rally in Ikutha, Kitui south Friday.

When the Wiper party leader began addressing locals, the heckling began and it went on as locals demanded to be addressed by the ODM Aspirant Kitui South Onesmus Mumo.

Efforts by Kalonzo to calm the crowd were futile and at one point he threatened to have the ODM Aspirant disqualified.

Onesmus addressing locals in a brief speech welcomed Kalonzo to the area and asked locals to vote for Azimio with Raila as president, Martha as Deputy, and Kalonzo as chief minister.

After the ODM candidate addressed the charged crowd, Kalonzo was able to address them but on passing on the mic to the area MP Rachel Kaki who is defending her seat on a Jubilee party ticket, the shouting resumed with locals jeering her.

Kalonzo also campaigned for Wiper candidate in Kitui Dr. Julius Malombe saying Ngilu was sure she would lose to Malombe and that’s why she quit. He promised to ensure the compensation of locals whose land was acquired for the Kibwezi-Kitui road construction praising MP Kaki for being at the forefront to push for the compensation.

The Wiper party leader is on a tour to popularize his candidates in the region as he seeks to have a majority of elected leaders from the region. However, in Kitui south, Kalonzo seems to be backing Jubilee candidate and abandoning Wiper candidate Daniel Mutua.
