A section of Ukambani leaders have insisted that Wiper party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka must sit at the negotiating table. The leaders who were led by Mavoko MP Patrick Makau also called for all inclusive dialogue if the dialogue is meant to help the country. He also asked NASA Coalition head Raila Odinga to involve other principals in the dialogue exercise. They were speaking at Machakos women representative’s Joyce Kamene Kasimbi thanksgiving at Wamunyu ABC Primary school Saturday.
Kalonzo Musyoka who was in attendance at the ceremony suggested that NASA has to be registered as a political party to end the divisions before 2022 just like the Jubilee Party. According to Kalonzo, the move will also see the party get more seats as competition between different parties is reduced and only one candidate is fielded by the party. Kalonzo also insisted that Moses Wetangula was the coalition’s choice for Minority leader and that he was going nowhere.”i know at the moment there is a lot of suspicion, i will do the best i can to hold us together” Kalonzo said.
Machakos Women Representative asked Kalonzo to reunite NASA and help solve the Wetangula dispute, “i urge you to talk to them because we need a united NASA” she said. Kalonzo was also accompanied by Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa who described him as the glue that holds NASA together. Other leaders present included area MP Hon. Eng Vincent Musyoka, Former Machakos Women Representative Dr. Susan Musyoka, Machakos county Majority Leader Francis Ngunga among other local leaders.
This comes as divisions in NASA coalition widen after the ouster of Moses Wetangula as the leader of the minority in the senate last week.
