Peris Mueni the leader of the Kakongo Sisters Band has been thrown into mourning after losing her mother.
The news was relayed through a Facebook post by Kamba TV presenter Ututi Wa Kyuma.
“Bad news to our Queen of Benga Peris Mueni…kakongo =Mummy Kalondu .. Her mother has gone to be with the Lord–Such a loss. R. I. P.. Mummy Kalondu. Wana Benga vaa twina Kyathi please kya utuiika Kakongo,” Ututi said.
