United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party Chairman Johnson Muthama Nduya has for the first spoken in public on his resignation as Chairman and his break from politics.
Muthama said that he is ready to step down as the chairman and take up his new role.
Speaking during the burial of his aunt in Uamani village, Matungulu, Muthama noted that he was ready to take up his position at the Public Service Commission.
He revealed that he was not going to be involved in politics but rather use his position to help Kenyans.
“Am going to resign from the party as their Chairman because the position I will be getting is being a civil servant, what I want to be told is about people’s jobs like the army, and police recruitments,” said Muthama.
“My work is to ensure there are jobs for our people, the MCAs get money to do developments in their wards but things to do with politics you will never hear me in them,” he added.
Muthama went on to add that he would not be involved with local politics but rather he shall deal with National politics.
Muthama who vied for Machakos Governor in August 2022 and came third has been appointed a member of the Public Service Commission.
