Kitui County Assembly Speaker Kevin Kinengo has made it clear that he’s sticking with the Wiper party despite recent turmoil.
Speaking at a Church Service in Mwingi, Kinengo recounted the rocky road to his current position.
“When I was vying for the speaker’s seat, some within Wiper didn’t support me. They said I was too young and inexperienced,” he revealed.
Yet, Kinengo overcame the odds, winning the seat and igniting the ire of his detractors, who then attempted to impeach him. “Their plans hit a snag,” he said with a hint of satisfaction.
Kinengo highlighted the backlash faced by his supporters, including the removal of his ally, Harisson Maluki, from the leader of the majority position.
He also mentioned the targeted campaigns against Tseikuru Ward MCA Daniel Muange for his support.
Despite these challenges, Kinengo remains steadfast. He called on Wiper’s leadership to unify all party members. “We will not be shaken. We are in Wiper, and we are going nowhere,” he declared boldly.
