Ikombe Day and Boarding Primary school in Yatta, Machakos County has emerged top in the 2018 KCPE results. The public school had 95 candidates and 94 attained over 400 Marks. The last candidate scored a mark below 400 – 399 marks. The school got a mean score of 418 marks.
The little known school is located in the remote area of Ikombe along Katangi – Matuu road and also recorded impressive results last year. Their last candidate scored 354 marks and more than 30 pupils scored more than 400. In 2016, their last Candidate scored 349 marks. In the just released results Rita Miriam Mwelu topped the school with 441 marks and Daniel Kiseke and Hillary Osusu followed second with a tie of 439 marks. Swizri Mumo came 4th with 438.
Abednego Mbondo the school’s head teacher thanked God for the excellent performance. “nitungia ngai muvea kwa ututonyethya kukwata results ithi nzeo – I thank God for enabling us to get this good results.” He also thanked the teachers for their hard work and commitment which resulted in the good results. According to Mbondo, discipline among the students resulted in the success.
