St. Gabriel Primary school in Mwingi Central constituency emerged top school in Kitui County with a mean score of 397.400 where 24 out of 54 learners had 400 marks. The best student Rebecca Mwalale had 428 marks while the last scored 366 marks.
St. Josephine Bakhita from Zombe, Kitui East which is also a Catholic-sponsored school performed well with a mean score of 384.69. 13 candidates had 400 marks and above. The school had a total of 64 candidates. Emmanuel Junior Academy had a mean score of 382 with top students Kuli Muthoka and Raphael Musyoki getting 417 marks and the last student 337 marks.
Maryland Academy in Chuluni, Kitui East got a mean score of 370.1 with the first child getting 406 and the last child 331. Good Shepherd Primary School in Kitui town registered a mean score of 370 with 5 students out of 42 students having 400 marks and above.
St. Michaels Boarding primary Kitui has a mean score of 364.700 with 15 students out of 75 with 400 marks and above, Victors Academy Mwingi had a mean score of 363 with the top student getting 403 marks, while St. Francis Boarding in Kamuwomgo, Mwingi North registered a mean score of. 360.880 with only two students out of 80 candidates with 400 marks and above.

St. Patricks Primary school in Kyuso got a mean score of 351.234 with two candidates getting 400 marks and above while Maranatha school in Wikililye, Kitui Central is the top school in katulani sub-county with a mean score of 349.68 and only one candidate had 400 marks and above.
