Deputy President William Ruto has fired salvos at Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu calls for Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka to unite with Raila Odinga so as to defeat him during the presidential elections in 2022.

Speaking at Mbilini in Kangundo Subcounty Ruto at Salome Munavu’s burial, Ruto said that instead of the leaders ganging up to hatch a plan on defeating him it would be better if they came up with an agenda to help Kenyans.

“I heard them yesterday saying they want to unite and defeat Ruto, I want to tell them they should look for agendas on development, uniting to defeat someone won’t help they must have an agenda for Kenya first,” he said.

“You can unite merely because you want to defeat someone and if you don’t defeat him and yet you do not have an agenda? I want to tell you as a hustler’s movement we have agenda for the transformation of our nation,” The DP added.

During Kalembe Ndile’s burial yesterday at Mbui Nzau in Kibwezi, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu told Kalonzo, Raila, and other leaders to unite or lose to Ruto in the 2022 general election.

“Since 1997 I have tried to be president, Raila and Kalonzo as well. I’m sure you know no one can be president alone. If you don’t unite that person (Ruto) will defeat you and we don’t want to go to wheelbarrows. It is important. In 2002 when we united we send Moi home. “Ngilu said amidst cheers from mourners.

Salome Munavu, wife to Prof. Munavu a DP Ruto strategist succumbed to cardiac arrest on 1st June. She served as a University Librarian at the University of Nairobi before retirement in 2013.
