Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has revealed the position that he will get in Kenya Kwanza Government if Ruto wins the presidency in August.
Speaking at Kawethei market in Kangundo Subcounty, Mutua revealed that he was going to deputize Musalia Mudavadi in the position of deputy Prime Minister/Chief minister.
Mutua who joined the Kenya Kwanza coalition after decamping from the Azimio la Umoja coalition also revealed that he was going to be handling the ministries of Transport and Water so as to improve the livelihoods of the Kamba community.
“I was offered the Deputy prime minister in Kenya Kwanza coalition but I said I want to be given the Water and Infrastructure ministry so that I can uplift the face of Ukambani because it is only me who can build good and classic roads, “Mutua claimed.
He added that he asked Ruto if he forms Government to ensure that every sub-county in Ukambani gets a mega-dam that would supply residents with water.
Speaking at the rally, Mutua also warned locals not to vote for the Azimio coalition as they will be inviting a curse to themselves alleging that Martha Karua does not believe in God.
“Raila has asked for the presidency 5 times, he has never won because God has refused him. These people are hated in their home areas. Voting for them is inviting a curse to you and your generation and household…There is a woman who was appointed running mate, she doesn’t believe in God and never Goes to church. I know her, we used to work with her.” He alleged.
Mutua was accompanied by leaders affiliated with Maendeleo Chap Chap who are vying for various seats in the county.
