Governor Malombe and Patrick Makau hint at Supporting Ruto in 2027

Kitui Governor Julius Malombe and Mavoko MP Patrick Makau joined leaders from Ukambani who have pledged to support President William Ruto come 2027.

Speaking during the groundbreaking of the affordable housing project in Mavoko by President Ruto, Mavoko MP Patrick Makau said that despite supporting Azimio in 2022 general elections, the way things are going he would support Ruto in 2027.

Watu wa mavoko vindu vichenjaga (Mavoko people, things change), I have read your manifesto and the way you are going, it’s only God who can stop you. Mimi vile unaendelea manze, Vindu vichenjaga,” Mavoko MP Patrick Makau said.

The vocal legislator requested the president for Mlolongo and Syokimau to be made constituencies.

“Your excellency, Mavoko has over 650,000 people and my request is that we know that the national cake is given according to constituencies, my request is if Mlolongo and Syokimau are awarded such status,” He added.

Makau’s remarks were echoed by Kitui Governor who is also in Wiper Party.

“I listened to you yesterday on TV when you were talking about the fiber optic program which you have initiated and I was very impressed. If that happens the way Makau was saying, 2027 the others will say they have given up.” Malombe said.
