Machakos County Senator Agnes Kavindu Muthama Saturday graduated with a Doctor of Humanities Degree, from Dominion Mission Theological University – Ghana.
Dominion Mission Theological University is located in Ghana having branches in several countries like Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda among others. The ceremony was held at AIC Bomani, Machakos.
The university said the honorary degree was awarded because Kavindu touched lives and was faithful to God as a preacher and a senator.
Speaking after the graduation, Kavindu thanked those who voted and supported her and called for unity saying that it’s not high time for differences. She asked Machakos residents to support the BBI bill which she says will be of great benefit to Kenyans.
“I again thank you Machakos people for electing me as your Senator. It was not easy going around the whole Machakos County asking for votes from you people. God is able. ” Kavindu said.
Kavindu also called on Machakos County Governor, Dr. Alfred Mutua to ensure the issue of unpaid Machakos level 5 cleaners is addressed noting that some had gone for months without pay.
In return, Kavindu promised to work for the benefit of Mwananchi, saying that she’s ready to work willingly as the electorate voted for her willingly.
