Speaking at Kangundo, Mutua said that he had met with the UDA aspirant and other MPs affiliated with the party in a hotel during his meet the tour people and they held talks on matters BBI.
“Am a peaceful person and today in the morning during my normal activities in a hotel I saw UDA Senatorial aspirant Urbanus Muthama Ngengele and Victor Munyaka, Vincent Musyoka entered the hotel and joined me as am still their governor and we had talks concerning BBI and I urged them to conduct peaceful campaigns,” he said.
” I saw their photographers take pictures and I said it’s okay to my surprise the pictures had gone viral with captions that John Mutua Katuku had stepped down we were going to support Urbanus Muthama Ngengele. I wondered where the childish behavior came from. Let’s be adults. When people meet and talk don’t be too excited. Katuku is going nowhere, he is going to the senate in Nairobi.” he added.
Pictures of Mutua and UDA leaders went viral with speculations that he had withdrawn his support from Katuku and backed UDA candidate Urbanus Muthama Ngengele.
