Former Johnson Muthama’s Aide Benson Metho has landed a top job with the Wiper party. According to an appointment letter seen by Mauvoo news Metho is now the secretary for Wiper party in the diaspora league.
According to the letter Metho’s long stay in America has given him the experience and knowledge about Kenyans in the diaspora.
“Wiper democratic movement is pleased to appoint Mr. Benson Metho Jr as the secretary for WDM diaspora league,” read the letter in part.
“Having worked and stayed in the United States of America for 14 years he understands the plight of Kenyans in diaspora and is looking forward to champion for the diaspora community on behalf of the party,” it read further.
Metho had previously served as the chairman of the Kamba community in Minnesota and is also the founding member of Kenya diaspora development forum.
While commenting on the appointment Metho noted that it was sensible for Kalonzo to be concerned about the matters of people in the diaspora.
“First and foremost l would like to take this opportunity and thank H.E Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka for appointing me as head of diaspora affairs for WDM. As you are aware the diaspora community plays a critical role in our economy,” he said.
“Fortunately, H.E Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka had found it prudent to have the docket run by someone who has vast experience in diaspora affairs and for singular objective will be to champion for the diaspora community on matters diaspora voting and providing an engagement platform between the diaspora community, Wiper Democratic Movement and IEBC,” he added.
