Popular radio presenter Irene Nyanzi, better known as Mwela wa Town, recently found herself in an online spat with a fan after sharing a photo on her Facebook page.
The photo showed Mwela at what appeared to be a lively event, dressed in a chic yellow shirt dress that sat high above her knees.
Holding a microphone, she looked confident and engaged. She captioned the post, “What event are you attending today?” inviting fans to interact.
However, while some fans flooded the comments section with compliments, praising her look and charisma, others felt that her choice of outfit was inappropriate for her age.

Among the critics was a male fan who took it upon himself to offer unsolicited advice.
“Please dress decently and don’t act this bad as you age,” the fan commented, implying that Mwela should reconsider her fashion choices.
Not one to stay silent in the face of criticism, Mwela clapped back with a sharp response: “These words would be great if only you told your wife.”
Her comeback quickly stirred mixed reactions online. Some fans applauded her for standing her ground, arguing that women, especially those in the public eye should be free to express themselves without judgment.
Others, however, felt that she could have ignored the remark instead of engaging in the exchange.
