Abel Mutua has shared his candid love story revealing his early relationship challenges with his now-wife, Judy Nyawira.
peaking during Dr. Ofweneke’s podcast appearance. Mutua detailed meeting Judy at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC). He discussed financial struggles and their unexpected start. Initially, Judy was exiting another relationship when they met.
Mutua was then acting on the popular TV show, Tahidi High. However, Judy had never heard of the show.
“In 2007, I met this chic fresh out of Karatina and she asked me ‘Why are guys obsessed over you’? And I’m trying to explain to her I’m on a show Tahidi High, and she’s like ‘What’s Tahidi High?’ She did not know. And that’s when I knew she loves me, I knew for a fact she is a gem,” Abel narrated.
To this end, Mutua knew Judy, a woman from a rural background, would make a good partner. Moreover, he did not want to lose her. Next, he described their first date, as a simple affair. Indeed, he lacked funds despite his TV role. Then, he faced a dilemma: he needed fare for a Tahidi High shoot.
“That first time I remember asking her for money to go and shoot Tahidi. It must have been around the end of 2008, It was like one year. Babe, I’m sorry, (He said when asked if he paid back) but look where we are now,” he revealed. In addition, friends discouraged him from pursuing Judy.
Also, she was in an abusive relationship. Subsequently, Judy endured physical abuse from her ex-boyfriend. Ultimately, she sought refuge with Abel. Finally, their relationship blossomed despite early hardships.
