A section of Machakos MPs allied to Deputy President William Ruto have come out in defense of the DP after Kalonzo made remarks attributing Ruto to land grabbing.

Speaking at Machakos sub-county, Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka said that it was absurd for the Wiper leader to come out guns blazing at the deputy president saying that no one owned a government land unless he had grabbed it from the government.

“According to the law there is no way somebody can own a government land, it is very clear. For example NYS land, so today we are talking about Kalonzo for grabbing NYS land because the only way you can own a government land is by grabbing, I want to dare anyone who knows any other way to acquire government land, “he said.

His words were echoed by Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka who wondered how the DP was termed to be a gentleman in the previous years only to be bombarded with all means of accusations now.

“In 2013 Ruto was a gentleman same as 2017. When he helped Raila, he was not bad when he helped Uhuru twice to become president he was not a bad man, now he has declared interest in the 2022 presidential race he has become a bad man?” wondered Munyaka.

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu on Tuesday termed Deputy President remarks as lies meant to tarnish Kalonzo Musyoka’s name.

“We know his intentions are to stain Kalonzo’s name, but we know the real land thief in Kenya, there is no dispute about that, and am quite sure it is not Kalonzo,” she said.
