Controversial gospel artist Masekete has launched a scathing attack on Machakos County Governor Wavinya Ndeti, accusing her administration of failing the county’s health sector.
In a video on his Facebook page, Masekete expressed disappointment over the state of healthcare in the county, citing a lack of medical personnel and essential supplies.
“Machakos Level 5 Hospital — people have been discharged because of lack of medical personnel and drugs. It is sad to see that happen to people who elected a leader to care for them,” Masekete said.
“If your children or relatives got sick, they would be flown out of the country for treatment. But the hospital we rely on has nothing. It’s so bad,” he added.
Masekete also criticized the performance of women leaders in the county, saying residents had expected better results.
“We used to think that women leadership would help us, but where we are now is disappointing — and 2027 is coming,” he warned.
The remarks come as an ongoing nurses’ strike continues to cripple health services in the county, forcing many residents to seek treatment in private facilities.
His comments sparked mixed reactions online:
