Makueni: List of MKJ Supa Cup 2025 Winners

Makueni County has officially crowned its champions in the thrilling 2025 MKJ Supa Cup finals, held from March 29th to 30th at Unoa Grounds in Wote.

Sub-counties from Makueni participated in the tournament, showcasing outstanding talent across various sports disciplines, with the winners earning the prestigious opportunity to represent Makueni County at the upcoming KYISA Games in Homa Bay County.

In soccer, men’s Makueni Subcounty emerged as the champions, while Kibwezi East Subcounty secured second place. The ladies’ soccer competition saw Makueni Subcounty take the top position, followed by Mbooni Subcounty in second place.

In the Beach Handball, men’s category saw Makueni claim the championship, with Kilome and Kaiti finishing second and third, respectively while In the women’s beach handball tournament, Kibwezi West claimed victory, Makueni finished second, and Kilome secured third place.

For the Beach Volleyball, Makueni dominated men’s beach volleyball, securing the top position, while Kilome and Kibwezi East finished second and third, respectively. In women’s beach volleyball, Mbooni emerged as champions, with Kibwezi West Second and Kibwezi East finishing second and third.

The 3×3 basketball competition saw Kibwezi West claim first place in the men’s category, followed by Makueni taking second position and Kaiti ranking third. In the women’s 3×3 basketball category, Kibwezi West took the title, with Makueni emerging second and Mbooni third

5×5 basketball, in the men’s category, Mbooni emerged victorious, followed by Kibwezi West taking second position and Kaiti holding third position. While in the women’s 5×5 basketball competition saw Makueni took the crown, with Kibwezi West in second and Kibwezi East in third.

The tournament attracted large crowds and was graced by top county leaders, including Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr, Deputy Governor Lucy Mulili, Senator Daniel Maanzo, County Assembly Speaker Douglas Mbilu, and CECM for Gender, Youth, Children, Sports, and Social Services, Eng. Sebastian Kyoni. Also present was County Assembly Clerk Kelvin Mutuku among other leaders.
