Eastern Region Secondary Schools Term 1 2025 Games Winners

The 2025 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) Term 1 Eastern Region Games concluded in spectacular fashion.

The tournament held from 12th-15th March 2025 saw top schools from the Eastern region showcasing their athleticism, teamwork, and determination. The competition, which featured various disciplines, saw schools battle fiercely for the coveted regional qualifying for the nationals.

In the basketball category, Lukenya School proved their dominance in the boys’ division, executing strategic plays to emerge as champions. In the girls’ category, Ikutha Girls showcased remarkable skill and resilience, securing the regional title in a hotly contested final.

Matiliku Boys stamped their authority in boys’ handball, displaying tactical brilliance to claim victory. Meanwhile, in the girls’ category, Kyeni Girls impressed fans with a solid performance, clinching the championship trophy.

It was double glory for Matiliku Boys, who also triumphed in the hockey tournament, proving their all-around sporting prowess. In the girls’ competition, Nyayo Girls displayed exceptional teamwork and skill defending their title by hitting 1-0 to isiolo, sweeping aside the competition to claim the championship title.

In the rugby 15’s category, All Saints reigned supreme in the boys’ division, outmuscling their opponents to lift the trophy. On the girls’ side, St. Teresa delivered a commanding performance to emerge victorious.

After an intense competition across all categories, Machakos County emerged as the overall winner, cementing its reputation as a powerhouse in secondary school sports.

With regional champions now crowned, attention shifts to the National stage, where these schools will battle for ultimate glory. As anticipation builds, fans and players alike are eager to see who will rise to the top in the national showdown.
