2025 KSSSA National Term 1 Games Dates And Venue

The stage is set for the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) National Term 1 Games, scheduled to take place from April 5th to April 13th, 2025, in the coastal city of Mombasa.

This year’s edition promises intense competition, with Shanzu Teachers Training College (TTC) and Shimo La Tewa serving as the main venues for the action-packed tournament.

With schools from across the country vying for national honors, the event is expected to attract top young athletes, eager to showcase their skills in a variety of disciplines.

This year’s competition will feature seven key sporting categories which include Athletics, Basketball (5-on-5), Hockey, Cross Country race, Handball, Rugby 15s, and Swimming.

The tournament will kick off with the Referees’ Coordination Clinics, set to take place from April 5th to 7th, ensuring match officials are well-prepared for the high-stakes competition. Participating teams will arrive on April 6th, gearing up for the grand Opening Ceremony on April 7th at Shanzu Teachers Training College (TTC). The day’s events will also feature curtain-raiser matches, offering a glimpse of the action to come.

The main competition will run from April 8th to 12th, as schools from across the country battle for national glory in various sports. The tournament will conclude with the Closing Ceremony on April 12th, before teams depart on April 13th.

As the host city, Mombasa is preparing to welcome athletes, coaches, and fans for what is expected to be a thrilling week of school sports action. The tournament will not only determine the best teams in the country but also provide a platform for young talents to shine on a national stage.
