A 10-year-old boy was caught stuck in one of the scrap metal shops in Tala Market, Matungulu sub-county of Machakos County.
According to the residents, the boy was trying to steal in the shop when he got stuck at the entrance of the door.
“This morning we were treated to a shocking incident where a boy aged between 8-10 years was found stuck in a shop in what is believed to be an attempt to steal. The boy is stuck at the door, it looks as if he was trying to get metal from the scrap metal shop,” one of the residents told Mauvoo News.
“We are here waiting for the owner to come and release this boy. What I can say is this boy was set up and was not alone but he was in the company of others. It is sad to see what our children have turned into,” another resident added.
They further called on parents to take care of their children, especially during this period of long holidays as many may indulge in behaviors that cause them harm.
